July 27 - Day 43

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. -Romans 8:25-28

We thank the Lord that Dean's EEG test showed no signs of seizures. The activity level was about the same as the results from the first test several weeks ago. His chest x-ray showed about the same amount of consolidation as of yesterday. His white blood cell count came down to 11.6. He is still on the antibiotic to treat the klebsiella, heart medicine, oxycodone for pain, tylenol as needed for fever, and lovenox injections to prevent blood clots. He seems to be more aware of his surroundings again! He sat in his recliner chair for about 3 hours and the CPM exercised his left leg twice for a few hours. This evening Dean has been more active especially with his right hand again! He continues to open his right eye involuntary and voluntary in response to voices. Dean made some facial expressions along with opening his right eye and blinking in response to his brother, Doug, talking to him.  We thank the Lord for the all progress we've seen him make as we learn to be patient.

Prayer Requests:

- His white blood cell count and fever to come down together as they kill the klebsiella (bacteria growth in his lungs.)

-The consolidation in his lungs would clear up and he would produce the correct amount of mucus in his lungs. Also that he would continue to cough it up even though he has limited amount of exercise.

-The inner complexities of his brain would be healed so correct signals would be sent to all parts of his body in order to function properly.

-He would be able to respond consistently to commands.

-He would be able to focus on objects with his right eye and his pupil would respond to light. Also that the Lord would miraculously heal Dean's left eye. It is more challenging for him to open since his bone structure is broken around that eye.

-Wisdom for the doctors and nurses as they care and make decisions for him.

-The blood clot in his left thigh to resolve itself and mobility in that leg.

-Good health and rest for Dean so he will be ready for his move to Kessler on Monday along with safe transportation to New Jersey.

-The Lord's protection over Dean's life as the Lord heals him.

These are a few specific prayer needs. We continue to ask the Lord for Dean's complete healing!

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. -Malachi 3:10 We give everything to the Lord and receive all His promises!

And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 We desire to obey the Word of the Lord as we live out the Christian faith!
