August 14 - Day 61

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. -Psalm 103:1-6

Dean was loaded onto the ambulance at 2:10 pm and we safely arrived to Kessler 33 minutes later. He was moved into a new room and is doing well! Tomorrow will be a busy day with many assessments which I will share about later. We wait upon the Lord believing that He will renew Dean's strength like the eagle's. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31  Dean loves life, and he loves all that God created for us to enjoy! He was on a waiting list for a new camera and it was mailed to our hotel in Anchorage. Dean was thrilled to have it during our trip! (We both enjoy photography and the Lord used this interest to bring us together.) While in Homer Spit, we saw dozens of eagles along the docks. It was a bitter cold day but that didn't hinder Dean from chasing the eagles around. A few minutes turned into an hour so I jumped into the car to warm up as he captured the eagle soaring gracefully above. Before long his knuckles turned red; nevertheless, he was determined to capture that perfect image! Thank you all for caring and praying. The days have been long and the nights short so I'm thankful for a bed tonight! The Lord continues to sustain us.
