June 25 -Day 11: Praises & Prayers

Good Morning!

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. — 1 Corinthians 2:5

Praise Reports: Dean's heart rate and blood pressure are great this morning! The best I've seen since he has been in the ICU.

Yesterday it was evident that he was digesting his food! His stitches in his left leg are healing well and the swelling and bruising in his eyes are going down! His temperature this morning is 98, (He has had a fever for days and it tends to fluctuate.) and his ICP is below 20 this morning!

He seems to be more responsive in the evenings. He moves his right hand and fingers around and moves his head to the right slightly.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray that his temperature remains at 98 and his body is able to regulate his temperature on its own.
  • Pray the swelling in his body goes down and he stays well hydrated.
  • Pray that his ICP continues to remain below 20 and decreases, Pray that it goes below 10 and remains steady the next several days so they can remove his brain monitor.
  • Pray against any infection in his body. He is on a few antibiotics.
  • Pray his body continues to digest his food at a good and healthy rate. Also that he receives all the nourishment he needs to strengthen his body. His digestion slowed down this morning.
  • Pray that the damaged tissue in his brain and face are restored completely.
  • Pray that his jaw bones are set properly in place as they heal.
  • Pray that his left eye socket is healed.
  • Pray that his pupils respond to light every day. Pray that his eye sight is even better than before the accident.
  • Pray that his sinuses are healed along with the tissues and bones supporting this nose and cheeks.
  • Pray that his brain stem is healed and works properly to send messages from his brain and throughout his body.
  • Pray that every part in his brain that was shifted due to the impact of the accident is perfectly realigned.  Also for the bones in his forehead to be healed.
  • Pray that his memory is excellent.
  • Pray that his frontal lobe is completely restored. This area of the brain controls movements of face, arms, and legs; personality; control of behavior and emotions; planning/organization; and speech.
  • Pray for wisdom as the doctors and nurses care for him.

Keep the faith and keep asking God to heal Dean completely! May our hearts always be filled with thanksgiving and praises and may God be glorified in all things!

With love,
Dannielle
