Prayer and Fast Day

The situation with Dean is quite serious. The surgery the doctors have scheduled for early next week is very involved and risky. They made it clear that they are only operating to fix the fractures in his face and tears in the dura mater in his brain. There is nothing they can do to directly improve his neurological function, or his eventual outcome. At no point have they given us any encouragement for his complete recovery. In fact, they continue to be very negative in their overall prognosis of his recovery from the brain damage. However, they are looking at the situation from a human standpoint and God has a different perspective. We believe that God has spared Dean's life for a purpose.

God has given us a way to reach out and touch Him and that is through prayer. We are humbly asking any of you who would like to do so, to please join us in another day of prayer and fasting for Dean starting Sunday at 9 p.m. - Monday 9 p.m. We are asking that if it is God's will, He would touch Dean's face and brain and heal them so that no surgery is needed or if God has another plan that He will protect Dean and guide the doctor's hands throughout every part of the surgery, and help him to recover quickly and be able to go back to Kessler very soon!

We are trusting in God and are praying that He would be glorified through the miracle that Dean needs at this time. Ultimately, we know that God is in control, He is hearing our prayers and His promises are true. Mark 11:24, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." May the Lord richly bless each one of you who have been carrying this burden with us, praying continually for Dean and for your love and support.
